Sonic Snapshots from Our Shores and Beyond

Students from The Shepherd School of Music will compose and perform works inspired by artist Dinh Q. Lê’s installation “Crossing the Farther Shore”

Thanks to Brandon Bell, Doctoral candidate in Percussion, for organizing this event which is being presented as part of Rice Gallery’s participation in My Voice Would Reach You, an Asian Arts Festival organized by Tani Barlow, T. T. and W.F. Chao Professor of Asian Studies, for Rice University’s Chao Center for Asian Studies. Other participants include: Asia Society Texas Center; Matchbox Gallery; The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; and Rice Public Art.
