Rice Gallery participated in the Texas Contemporary Art Fair as a cultural partner. We invited an artist back to Houston who had done an installation at Rice Gallery. They were given the opportunity to sell smaller works and multiples, and to talk with visitors to the fair about their work and Rice Gallery.
Street artist Gaia painted throughout the TX Contemporary art fair in Houston, Texas, October 10-13, 2013. The paintings of endangered birds paired with homes off the National Register of Historic Places pose the simple question: as Houston grows and expands, what is worth saving?
