New Art / New Music was a unique experience at Rice University where students from the Shepherd School of Music performed works of the 20th and 21st centuries in the intimate setting of the Rice Gallery. With a special interest in premiering works from Shepherd School composition students, the room-sized art at the Rice Gallery served as inspiration for music that is then performed alongside the artwork.
